Product prototypes can range from the very simple and small (eg. the clear acrylic bumpers), to the very complex or large (eg. the lifeboat toy prototype, or the fullsize model of a shower unit.)
Foam Models
Foam models are quick to produce, allowing low cost trials of a design. 3D computer files cannot be handled, or passed round a group. A foam model is typically 1/4 the price of a final appearance model - sometimes up to 14 times cheaper!
Design Resolution
Quite a number of designers find it useful that we can "short-circuit" the design process for them, by working from only partially completed drawings. In fact we quite often work from "back-of-an-envelope" sketches, or concept sketches, or incomplete engineering drawings, after discussions to clarify issues, thus saving quite a bit of time and money for clients.
Finished Appearance Models
Please be aware that these types of models are commercially sensitive at the modelling stage, so we can only show older images, once the product is in the public domain.
